Miss
Lake Huron Shores Outstanding Teen has the option to compete (and will have her entry fee paid for) at the state
level in Michigan's Outstanding Teen pageant held in June in Muskegon, MI. Should she become Michigan's Outstanding Teen
she would go onto America's Outstanding Teen Pageant, (Miss America's new sister pageant) held in Orlando, Florida.
Little
Miss Lake Huron Shores has the option to compete (and
have her entry fee paid for) on the state level at the 2010 Little Miss Michigan pageant,
which is usually held November, in Muskegon, MI.
In the past the current Miss America & Miss Michigan are at this state-wide event and our Little Miss titleholder has
the opportunity to meet them both.
Fun Fact: Michigan ’s Outstanding Teen 2005, Nina Davuluri,
was 1st Runner Up at the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2006 Pageant. She won $20,000 in scholarships
and was also a preliminary evening gown winner! Michigan had not had a prelim winner since Kaye Lani, Miss Michigan
1987, won preliminary swimsuit and the title of Miss America in 1988.
